Last Game!!

Yup! That time has come. It's been quite a treat to work with your wonderful children these past few weeks! I've come away with a lot from my experience. Your children are so talented and have such incredible personalities. This will not be quickly forgotten.

Thank you all so much for your efforts and your honest feedback. I'm a huge believer in open communication and you all have made that possible. Thank you!

See you all Tuesday night at 7:15pm at Art Dye - Yellow for our last game!

Game on Saturday!

Remember, we have to play a makeup game from a couple weeks ago when that game was cancelled. This makeup game will be Saturday morning at 8:30. I know it's early. Please try your best to make it and we'll have fun and get you all back to your weekends!

Thanks for your flexibility with this and we'll see you there!

Game 7 Tonight!

Tonight's game is at Filly Park, near the AF Rec Ctr at 6pm. This is our 2nd to last regular game! We have a makeup game this Saturday at Art Dye - Yellow at 8:30am. I hope you all will be able to make it!

I just want to thank all of you once again for all your help and support this season. It's been a great experience for me and all of us. I look forward to the rest of Summer with my family and I wish all of you a safe and fun Summer.

Thank you!

We're getting close to the end of the season and even though things have been somewhat distracting, I'm still very energetic and excited for our team!

This weekend's practice will still be at Hindley Park but will be moved back to 10:30am. Dale Price will be working the team out as Wyatt & I will be at some family functions. (Thanks, Dale!) Game 7 will be at Filly Park, up by the Rec Center at 6pm on Tuesday, 6/23. See you all there!

Swine Flu Information

Due to some unforseen circumstances, there have been some indirect and perhaps some direct contact with H1N1 (Swine Flu) on our team. I have alerted the AF Parks & Rec organization and await their official word. Wyatt goes to daycare and one of the new children has a confirmed case and they were playing together. That child has been since removed and is being treated. Wyatt has not shown any of the described symptoms yet. Also, our Sunday Church meetings were reduced to just Sacrament Meeting due to 2 young men that have contracted the virus.

I would like to think things will carry on as planned. I will keep you updated.

Great Practice and Game 2!

We were able to cover many items in our practice: Fielding, Throwing/Catching and Hitting. I hope you were able to take these home and continue working with your children on them.

Game 2 is Tuesday night at 7:15pm at Evergreen Park - South Field. I'd like to see you all there at 7 to have a quick huddle to go over some basics.

Welcome to the 2009 Season!

TimI am very excited about this T-Ball season! This will be my son Wyatt's 2nd season playing and my 1st season coaching. I have a lot of good ideas and strategies to make this a big success!

I know we are all very busy with our lives. I feel it's very important to have a very organized team and a good plan for our practices and other events. We all paid to be involved so let's make this work out the best for our kids.

Our games are on Tuesdays. We will be playing games at either 6:00pm or 7:15pm at one of three local ballparks. They are Art Dye, Evergreen and Filly parks. At first, this may seem confusing or complicated compared to last year. The benefit I see in spreading the games out is we all won't be struggling to get to the parking area at Art Dye park on that one and a half lane path.

I will need help from all of you. We will practice for an hour on Saturdays at 10:00am at Hindley Park at 560 W and 400 N. We will arrange a treats rotation as well. I look forward to helping our kids learn the sport and most of all, have a great time!
